This past weekend my daughters and I took a drive out to Arva Flour Mill, north of London on the banks of the Medway Creek. We were given a tour of the historic mill, established in 1817, and shown its inner machinations. It is Canada's oldest continuously operating water powered flour mill. The wheat comes from neighbouring farms. Arva flours are all natural with no preservatives or chemicals added.
Pasquale Brothers now carries Arva's unbleached hard flour, unbleached whole wheat hard flour and unbleached cake & pastry flour in 2.5 kg bags. Wholesale sizes can be available upon request.
Of course I had to test out the Arva flour for myself. All but one of the shortbread cookies I baked this afternoon have been eaten...the girls thought we should save one for Dad.
